In accordance with Senate Bill 998, passed into law September 28, 2018, SSWD has updated its current billing practices.  This bill requires that water utilities have a written policy regarding the discontinuation of water service for residential customers for non-payment of services.  The Board of Directors adopted PL-CS 001 - Disconnection of Residential Water Service for Nonpayment on January 27, 2020, and the Policy became effective February 1, 2020.
