Since February 2007, SSWD's South Service Area has been delivering fluoridated water to customers. 

• Fluoride is a naturally-occurring element found in most water supplies.
• Water fluoridation involves increasing the natural fluoride concentration found in drinking water to the optimal level that provides the most benefit for dental health, as prescribed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the California State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water.

The North Service Area drinking water is not fluoridated. To determine if you are a customer in the South Service Area, view the map of SSWD's North and South Service Areas.
